I did it (finally): I chopped some serious length off of my hair. I think for a moment or two there I was emotionally unstable/felt like I was missing a limb, but it seems as though that feeling has mostly passed and I’m back on track with the classic love-hate relationship with my hair. Nice! Typically, no matter what the length, I embrace the natural wave my hair has because a) it’s easy, and that’s really all that needs to be said, but also because b) wavy hair is just my jam right now.
Occasionally, though, I like to switch things up for a more sleek look, especially with shorter hair because there are just not enough hours in the day for me to justify straightening long hair. If I’m going to put my arm through the workout of holding a flat iron for what feels like forever, there’s one requirement: it needs to be easy. Thankfully, the ceramic flat iron I’ve been using from Irresistible Me is so easy and effective (and light!) that I actually enjoy the process of taming my waves.
This flat iron heats up fast, works well, and leaves my hair feeling so soft and fresh… basically the opposite of how every other hair straightener has made my hair feel. Oh, and it automatically shuts off after 30 minutes so we can just skip the whole “did I turn my flat iron off” panic. Big round of applause for that. The final thought? 10/10 would definitely recommend.
