I hope everyone’s 2017 is off to a great start! As much as I enjoy looking ahead to what this new year holds, I am reminded that looking back can be a good source of inspiration as well. At this point, I appreciate the balance the past few months had. Lots of “working hard” and “hardly working”, if you will.
Working hard
I completed one of my favorite annual projects at work, and have already networked more than I did in 2016. Sure, it’s not hard to beat zero but I’m taking this as a victory. In December I shared my blog with people I actually know, which was surprisingly not as awkward – so far – as I anticipated.
Hardly Working
The week leading up to Christmas found me 100% parked on that couch. This is real life, friends! My speed of living slowed down big time as the year ended, but in the best way possible. I’m a firm believer that the “hardly working” times make for better “working hard” times.
Other takeaways about the past few months from this Grid curation? Lots of snow, more outdoor adventures, and a big reminder that I am not as good at cross country skiing as I thought. You can’t win ’em all, I guess.
