If there’s a single color you need to try this season, it’s this one. I’ve proceeded to label it a very original “Dark Green Color”, because there are 50 (billion) shades of green and it was NOT working to nail down this specific color. What I’m loving about this dark green color, regardless of its uninspired name, is that it can act as a neutral without actually being a neutral. This means it is endlessly versatile, which is 100% a good thing. Whether it’s used for decor or outerwear, this green always ends up looking beyond chic. Plus, it’s festive and classic for the holidays without being too much, which is an important differentiation. If you want this color in your life (and you do), here are some pieces to get you started.
Parka
To me, wearing this coat would say “I’m extremely warm but also extremely classy”, and isn’t that what we all want out of our coats?! Yes. Yes it is. I can’t get over how much better I like the parka silhouette when it’s in this chic, dark green color.
Ball Cap
I’m all about above average baseball caps these days, and this one fits the bill. The dark green is unexpected, and a fun way to add a little pop of color to your look this winter.
Seasonal Candle
Does this candle even need an explanation? I seem to be on quite a roll with “basic” things, but I can’t help it. If you don’t want to wear green, you can at least burn this pretty candle and have your house smell like a Christmas tree.
Lace Hi Neck Top
This top (technically bralette but I digress) may seem like it’s made for summer, sure. However, I love the idea of the hi-neck lace detail peaking out from a sweater with a lower neckline. Lace is such a beautiful, feminine detail, and this dark green version deserves to be worn in the winter, OK!
Cozy Sweater
Alright, a true winter piece. If you’re like me and find yourself wearing only neutrals all season long, this is the piece for you. The dark green color is not bright enough to feel any different than a neutral, but still adds variety if you’re in a “black/white/gray/maybe tan if you’re feeling it” type of mood.
