Ready for some New Years inspiration? Welcome to the 2017 mood board!
A Quick Look Back
One of my favorite parts about consistently creating mood boards is that I can look back at the previous year or season and see what I wanted, where I’d been, and the mood I was trying to get. Honestly, I didn’t totally nail what I was going for in 2016. It wasn’t all bad, but I definitely took some L’s. In a sense, though, 2016 prepped me to be more motivated and inspired for 2017.
Looking Ahead
Though I don’t have any more answers than I did last year or the year before, the difference is that I am in a better space to go pursue those answers. For 2017, I am ready for change. I’m also still working on that whole simplicity thing. I’d like to pare down my closet as I continue to refine my style, and to create a clean workspace at home where I can really concentrate on this blog (in addition to my design). Rebranding to “Simply KK” and moving to WordPress was a definite blog highlight this year, and I’m excited to continue its growth in the New Year.
As someone who is obsessed with making lists, you can bet that I wrote out some specific personal, wellness, and career New Years goals. Lists are seriously my THING. Consider this mood board a visual representation of that list. And bonus, it’s shorter and prettier to look at! Here are the things I hope to achieve and become, and the style direction I aim to take in 2017.
